![]() ![]() I would skip any boot and recovery partitions on the additional drives. How many partitions do the 2 additional drives have? Youʻll have to create a partition on the new drive for each data partition you want to copy. If you want to keep these it adds a little work. Iʻve seen as many as 9 partitions on a new install. If cloning a drive installed by an OEM you may find several other partitions intended for repair and recovery processes. It can come before of after the Windows partition. lately Microsoft creates a Recovery partition around 500MB but I donʻt think itʻs needed. ![]() ![]() Microsoft used to make this 128MB but now 16MB is good. a 16MB MSR partition (Microsoft Reserved). a FAT32 boot partition (Microsoft makes it 100MB but OEMs often make it larger). (hopefully your current system drive is GPT) ![]()
